Product FAQ's

What are the paddle sizes included in the Bash Target Supply KYL Spinner Kit?

Our 8-paddle Know Your Limits (KYL) Spinner Kit features precision target sizes to challenge shooters of all skill levels. The target paddles range from a highly visible 2" diameter down to a micro 1/4" diameter, decreasing in sequential 1/4" increments (2", 1-3/4", 1-1/2", 1-1/4", 1", 3/4", 1/2", and 1/4").

Can the KYL Spinner Kit handle centerfire rifle and pistol calibers?

Yes, because our KYL kit is CNC laser-cut from heavy-duty 3/8" AR500 steel, it is fully rated for centerfire rifle and pistol calibers. It can withstand standard centerfire rifle rounds up to .223/5.56 at a minimum distance of 100 yards, as well as common handgun rounds like 9mm at 10 yards. However, it is also incredibly popular for precision rimfire (.22 LR) training. Do not use steel core or armor-piercing ammunition.

Does the KYL kit include the conduit pipe or frame legs?

Our standard kit includes the 8 premium 3/8" AR500 steel target paddles, spacer collars, and the weld-on or bolt-on mounting brackets. It does not include the standard 3/4" EMT conduit pipe legs used for the crossbar and frame. These inexpensive frame materials can be picked up locally at any home improvement store, keeping your shipping costs low.  Also, allowing you to build your KYL at your desired height.

How do the paddles rotate when hit?

Each target paddle hangs independently on the main crossbar using built-in top rings. When struck cleanly by a bullet, the paddle spins completely around the bar, giving you instant, undeniable visual confirmation of a hit before settling back into position for your next shot.

Why choose a 3/8" AR500 steel KYL target over standard 1/4" rimfire targets?

While 1/4" steel targets are strictly limited to .22 LR rimfire calibers, our upgraded 3/8" certified AR500 construction gives you ultimate versatility. It is sensitive enough to spin cleanly when hit by a .22 LR round, yet rugged enough to take direct centerfire rifle impacts without pitting, warping, or dimpling.

Does Bash Target Supply offer a KYL spinner kit for all calibers including big bore rifles like .308 WIN, .300 WIN MAG, 6.5mm Creedmore and others ?

Yes, our 1/2” thick AR500 Steel KYL spinner kit handles all calibers safely an t 100 yards.  This product is not 50BMG rated.

What are the paddle sizes included in this 4-Paddle KYL Spinner Kit?

Our heavy-duty 4-Paddle Know Your Limits (KYL) Spinner Kit includes four precision-sized target paddles to test your accuracy. The target paddle sizes are 6", 5", 4", and 3" diameters, decreasing sequentially to present a severe precision challenge for shooters.

What calibers can the 1/2” AR500 steel KYL kit handle?

Because this kit is CNC laser-cut from ultra-thick 1/2" AR500 steel, it is built to handle heavy centerfire rifle calibers up to .300 Win Mag at a minimum distance of 100 yards, as well as high-volume centerfire pistol rounds at 10 yards. Its heavy-duty thickness makes it incredibly durable against rugged centerfire use, while remaining responsive enough for precision handgun training. Never use steel core or armor-piercing ammunition.

Does this 4-paddle KYL kit include the frame legs or crossbar conduit?

No, the kit includes the 4 premium 1/2" AR500 steel target paddles, spacer collars, and our option for our custom leg brackets or T-Post mount. It does not include the standard 3/4" EMT conduit pipe or rebar legs needed to build the crossbar frame. These hardware materials are inexpensive and can be purchased locally at any home improvement storefront to save you money on shipping weight while allowing you to build your KYL at the height YOU want.

Bash Target Supply designed the first truly durable KYL spinner system that will spin with a .22 rimfire while handling up to a 5.56/.223 centerfire rifle cartridge and everything in between. Our paddles are made of thicker AR500 than all the others. We use 3/8" thick versus all the other KYL kits using 1/4". Our stem design is wider, this prevents the paddles from bending with any caliber over a .22 rimfire. The Bash KYL system is pure fun at the range and wow what a challenge to run this rack all the way down to the 0.25" paddle. This rack spins smooth and reliable for years of challenge and fun.

For bigger bore rifles you will want to check out our 1/2" thick KYL kit that handles everything except a 50BMG ! These paddles are beefy and built to take a beating. The wide paddle stem design has been tested over and over to make sure off center hits do not bend the paddles. We recommend using our T Post conduit hangars as this kit is heavy and the impact energy from big bore rifles is substantial. These are a lot of fun to get spinning out at distance.

Our kits do not come with the actual pipe legs like some of the others. Most everyone wants a different height based on a number of factors, so we leave that height up to the shooter. Simply pick up a couple 3/4" EMT conduit at your local store. Cut four equal pieces for your desired leg length. The cross pipe should be a minimum 38". You can also use 3/4" gas or black pipe should you want more weight and stronger pipe. If you are looking for a stand that absolutely does not move, we recommend two of our T Post Hooks and run your horizontal pipe between the hooks. See the pictures above.
